Milton Thomas (Tom) Smith, age 76 of Oakland, Illinois, passed away at 7:54 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System, Mattoon, Illinois. He was a self-employed truck driver and a mechanic.

Mr. Smith was born January 18, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Fielding and Marjory (Olsen) Smith.

Survivors include three brothers; Roger Smith of Oakland, Illinois, Frank F. Smith of Shirkieville, Indiana and Jesse B. Smith of Beach Grove, Indiana, and one sister Sally Ward of Michigan.

Cremation is planned, no services are scheduled.
