Melody Peters Young, age 55, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:41 A.M. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Paris, Illinois. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.

She was born November 29, 1964 in Paris, Illinois. The daughter of Marty (Hunt) Peters and the late Bill Peters. She married Douglas Young on November 4, 1989. He survives.

During her years, Melody was a homemaker, a discipleship leader, and an accountant.

She is survived by her children: Caitlin Young of Paris, Illinois, and Kelly Young of Paris, Illinois; her brother, Randy Peters of Rockville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Young of Paris, Illinois, and Elijah Young of Paris, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her aunt Patricia Peters.
