Max Wayne Walls, age 84 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 in his residence. He was an inspector for Danville Metal in Danville, Illinois. Max was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of Masonic Lodge 268 AF & AM. Born August 9, 1930 in Chrisman, Illinois, he was the son of the late Comadore P. and Abigale (Starkey) Walls. He married Doris Dean (Tomlinson) Walls May 12, 1951 in Aurora, Illinois, she passed away February 23, 2008. Survivors include a step-daughter Sally Parkinson of Paris, Illinois, a brother Perry Walls and his wife Dixie of Paris, Illinois, a sister Janet Hefner and her husband Jim of Marshall, Illinois, 2 step-grandsons, Scott Parkinson and his wife Nancy of Oxford, Ohio and Jeff Parkinson of Paris, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers; Donald Walls, Elmer Lee Walls, Robert Walls and Albert Leroy Walls and three sisters; Ada Switzer, Idabelle McDaniel and Elizabeth Grisham. Masonic services for Mr. Walls will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Visitation will be from noon to service time Monday. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
