Max Allen McIntosh of Paris, Illinois passed away peacefully at Life's Journey on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the age of 90.
Max was born in Kansas, Illinois on August 14, 1930 to Aaron Ernest and Lafern (Wilson) McIntosh.
He is survived by a sister: Helen Faye McIntosh of Paris, Illinois; his children: Allen (Jana) McIntosh of Paris and Gloria (Victor) Rosés of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his grandson: James Nathan McIntosh of Riverside, Illinois; and a step-grandson: Peter Cozzi of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Lydia Sanchez McIntosh; his brother: Ernest Eugene McIntosh; and a grand-daughter: Alenah Rosés.
After Max graduated from high school, he helped his father farm. He then began employment at U.S.I. in Tuscola, Illinois in 1957. He retired in 1995 after 38 years of dedicated service.
Max was a faithful member of Lake Ridge Christian Church of Paris, Illinois. He was also a Mason of the Prairie Lodge #77 in Paris for 46 years. Max was a member of ANSAR Shriners and a member of Eastern Star Paris Chapter #7, serving as Worthy Patron in 1979.
He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grand-children. He was a strong Christian and faithful church goer.
Max enjoyed spending time outdoors in his vegetable garden, telling stories of Alfalfa (from Paris) and his dentist experiences.
In keeping with Federal Mandates due to COVID-19, services are limited to immediate family only. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
