Mary Jane Rhodes's Obituary
Mary Jane Rhodes, age 87 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at North Logan Health Care Center in Danville, Illinois. She was a clerk for Edgar County Housing Authority. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society. Born January 22, 1930 in Edgar County, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late John Bernard and Grace K. (McKeever) Sullivan. She married Thomas B. Rhodes November 12, 1949 in Hume, Illinois, he passed away July 19, 2017. Survivors include seven children; Joseph L. Rhodes and his wife Donna of Fishers, Indiana, Marian T. Lietard of Danville, Illinois, Martin T. Rhodes and his wife Anita of Paris, Illinois, Robert S. Rhodes of Lillie Lake, Illinois, Louis M. Rhodes and his wife Kathy of Champaign, Illinois, Bernard B. Rhodes and his wife Teri of Zeigler, Illinois, and James A. Rhodes of Johnson City, Illinois, two brothers John W. Sullivan of Brocton, Illinois and James B. Sullivan of Brocton, Illinois, fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris with Rev. Fr. Ronald Hilt officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service. Interment is private. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
