Mary Martha Duncan, age 87 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015 in Paris Health Care Center. She was a homemaker. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, the C.D. of A., the Rosary Cenacle and the American Legion Post 211 Auxiliary. Born July 21, 1927 in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Homer A. and Rachel K. (Drake) Murphy. She married Donald R. Duncan March 7, 1961 in Paris, Illinois and he passed away October 19, 1981. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including David Geekie of Frankfort, Illinois, Martha Ann Waller of Placentia, California, Kathy Waller of Placentia, California and Melissa Greinke of Valparaiso, Indiana, a brother-in-law Jim Geekie of Paris, Illinois, and three great nieces and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and two brothers.

Visitation for Mary will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Zimmerman officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
