Mary Elizabeth Delaney, age 88 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 4:05 P.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Horizon Health with her family by her side.

No services are planned. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary was born on January 11, 1935 in Washington D.C. to Thomas and Gertrude (Gray) Delaney.

Mary had a passion for quilting and sewing, which led her to opening a quilting supply store in Georgia. She was also a member of various Methodist churches throughout her life.

She is survived by her children: Lois Hard of Paris, Illinois, Donna Clements D'Amelio of Virginia, Susan Clements Cowan, Walter Dent Clements Jr., and Barbara Ann Clements all of Georgia; 17 grandchildren and over 60 great grandchildren; and her sister: Rose Marie English of Easton, Maryland.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Thomas Delaney Jr.
