Mary Virginia Colter, age 90 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 6:45 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2017 in Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman. She was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star # 7, V.F.W. 3601 Auxiliary, and the Jolly Thimble Club. Virginia was a homemaker and a farm wife.

Services are 2 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation is also Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is in Franklin Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Paul Warner Animal Rescue.

She was born August 17, 1926 in Robinson, the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Tennant Warmouth.

Virginia married James Francis Jones and he passed away February 16, 1986. Then she married Dewey Colter and he passed away January 20, 2015.

She is survived by her daughter Gloria Jones of Paris; her grandchildren: Barb (Dale) Dice of Bismarck, Robert Jones of Paris, James (Woody) Jones of Paris, Joel Jones of Kansas, and Michael James (Christine) Jones of Texas; her siblings Flora Mae Barfield of Georgia, Donna K. Mitsdarffer of Tolono and Neil Warmouth of Brocton; her step-grandchildren Bridgett (Scott) Vaupel of FL and Paula (Ernie) Mendenhall of FL; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and her best friend of 60 years Patricia Roush of Paris.

Virginia was preceded in death by her son James E. Jones March 6, 1986, her siblings Delores Faye Niswender, Robert Douglas Warmouth, James Allen Warmouth, Ruby Ellen Warmouth, Beverly Ann Warmouth, Betty Amerman, John Warmouth, Raymond Warmouth, and Alfred Lee, a POW/MIA in the Korean War, and a half sister Helen Clifford.
