Mary I. Cash's Obituary
Mary I. Cash, age 84 of Paris, passed away at 6:19 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute. She was a legal secretary. Mary was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and did volunteer work for her church and for Crestwood School. Born June 17, 1931 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Charles William and Myrtle I. (Bishop) Perry. She married Danely L. Cash December 22, 1958 in Chicago. He passed away March 27, 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Beth Shumaker and her husband David of Paris and Sharon Elam and her husband Mike of Las Vegas, one sister Cathy Melendez of Paris, six grandchildren; Cory and Jake Shumaker, Heather Kirby Pickens, Michelle Elam Goldstein, Angela Simonds, and Tracy Ann Kirby, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Jack Kirby, four brothers; Charles Howard Perry, Roy Lee Perry, Harry Leon Perry, and Rex Perry, and three sisters; Betty Irene Eveland, M. Rosalie Givens, and H. Lorene Fudge. Visitation for Mrs. Cash will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Michael Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
