Mary Elizabeth Burba age 100 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 11:39 p.m. Friday November 6, 2020 at Paris Community Hospital/Horizon Health in Paris, Illinois.
In keeping with Federal Mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone is asked to be patient and abide by the state regulation of 25 visitors with masks allowed inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome, but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects will be able to do so. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 11, 2020 with funeral services to follow at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois. Burial will be at Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois. If you are unable to attend, a live stream of the service will be on the funeral home website. A link will be provided in Mary's obituary closer to service date.
Mary was born November 4, 1920 in Hodgenville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ollie and Meda Ann Gore Wheeler.
She married Logan Burba on April 1, 1939 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He passed away on December 13, 1994.
Mary was a homemaker after she retired from Zenith.
She was a member of Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris, Illinois.
Mary is survived by her children: Judy (Fenton) Cash of Paris, Illinois, Smoke (Marcia) Burba of Paris, Illinois, Jean Ann (Kenny) Keifer of Cassopolis, Michigan; her 13 grandchildren; her 18 great-grandchildren; her 18 great-great-grandchildren; and her companion of 20 years "Little D".
She is preceded in death by her children: Gerald Burba, Carolyn Johnson, Janet Stepp; her siblings: Maupin Wheeler, Sam Wheeler, Raymond Otto Wheeler, Alma Elkins, Catherine Pottinger; 1 grandson and 1 great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to Lake Ridge Christian Church or Shriners Hospital for Children.
