Martha E. Pitts, age 92 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Paris Healthcare Center. She was a production operator for Zenith and Unarco and also was a school crossing guard. She was a member of Paris Christian Church.

Born December 4, 1925 in Kansas, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Lester Franklin and Zella Estella (Jones) Fonner. Survivors include four children; James Pitts, Jr. of Chandler, Arizona, Dianna (George) David of Paris, Illinois, Mary Lou Pitts of Paris, Illinois, and Lisa (Bill) Neu of Paris, Illinois, two brothers, Richard "Dick" Fonner of Chrisman, Illinois and Charles "Chuck" Fonner of Las Vegas, Nevada, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Larry Eugene Pitts, four brothers; Robert Fonner, Gene Fonner, Roy Fonner, and Les Fonner, and one grandson Larry Pitts II.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday May 16, 2018 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hoult Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to Paris Christian Church.
