Martha Elizabeth Daugherty age 86 of Paris, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Paris Healthcare Center in Paris, Illinois.

In keeping with Federal Mandates, the service is limited to immediate family only. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Martha was born May 21, 1934 in Paris, Illinois the daughter of the late Paul Z. and Martha (Minnick) Jewell. She married Willard Leon Daugherty on June 10, 1950 at Horace Baptist Church in Edgar County, Illinois. He passed away August 11, 1999.

She was a homemaker and worked at B&J Restaurant.

Martha was a member of the VFW 3601 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Randy Daugherty of Paris, Illinois, Kathy (Warren) Kennedy of Paris, Illinois; her grandchildren: Emily Hires (Jay Fitzsimmons) of Paris, Illinois, Katy (Eric) Cate of Evansville, Indiana; her great-grandchildren: Kirstin Daugherty, Michael Hires, Asher James Cate, Shane Daugherty; her sister: Carolyn Smedley of Bedford, Indiana.

Martha is preceded in death by her grandson: Curtis Daugherty; her siblings: Lawrence Carlyle Jewell, Grace Landsaw, Richard Jewell, Kemper Jewell, Ned Jewell, David Jewell, June Jewell, Harold (Chick) Jewell, Bunny Jewell, Pauline Underwood, Kenneth Jewell, Audrey Jewell.
