Marjorie Milligan passed peacefully from this life on June 7th, 2026.
Marjorie was born November 15th, 1926, to George and Clara (Schneider) Menacher in Monticello, Illinois. She married the love of her life, William (Bill) R. Milligan, on January 23rd, 1946. He passed in 1978 and still continued as the love of her life to this day.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Menacher and Jerry Menacher. She will be missed by a surviving younger brother, Harold Menacher.
Marjorie and Bill had two children, Bruce (Sharon) Milligan and Daniel (Loretta) Milligan. Grandchildren include Alcie Milligan Patterson, Cory Milligan, Jamie Milligan, Christopher Milligan, and Ashley Milligan. She is also survived by six great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews include Sharon Menacher Secor, John Menacher and Mary Menacher Padgett, Jo Menacher, Jay Menacher, Tom Menacher, Trudy Menacher Gaskill, Trisha Menacher Foran and Tim Menacher.
Marjorie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church, Altar Society and the C D of A.
A special thanks to Brookstone Assisted Living of Paris and the wonderful Administration and staff who went above and beyond while she called Brookstone home. Also, to the Nurses and CNAs at Marshall Rehabilitation and nursing facility as well as the Transitional Hospice program for the compassionate care provided during her final days.
Per her request, a private graveside service will be arranged by Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.
