Marge was born on the family farm in Redmon, IL. September 11, 1929, the daughter of the late Russell Jennings Henn and Maud (Tribby) Henn.
She married Doyle Erkenbeck, he preceded her in death.
Marge graduated from the University of Illinois and moved to the Chicago area and pursued a career in banking. She wore many hats throughout her life. Many will remember Marge's zeal to root for the Fighting Illini, she was a season ticket holder and attended many games including the Rose Bowl game that she and her sister Marian attended.
If you knew Marge, you knew she was a volunteer at heart. She served at the Paris hospital doing meals on wheels for 30 years; she was a volunteer for Faith in Action, served as the City Commissioner for the community of Paris for two terms and was the head of the Main Street program and reviving the town square in Paris. She also volunteered for The Cancer Society, The University of Illinois scholarship program, was a member of the Ester Circle at the 1 st United Methodist Church in Paris, a volunteer with Faith in Action and too many other organizations to mention.
Marge loved life and loved giving to others. She showed kindness from her heart that was evident in all she did. Her family will miss her greatly but will always remember her generosity and love for all.
She is survived by her children: Jo Anne (Dan) Trueblood, David (Tonya) Erkenbeck; her granddaughter: Trisha L (Ryan) Morehead; her great-grandchildren; Madison Fisk and Maverick Schroat, and many nieces and nephews that all held a special place in her heart.
Marge is preceded in death by her siblings: Robert, Marian; her nephew John Robert, and niece Cynthia.
Her great-granddaughter Maddie, was the apple of her eye and even in her final days, she always brought a smile to grandma's face. We can't forget about the grand dogs, Maggie May who was always excited for a trip to see grandma. David's black lab Buckshot was also a joy in her life, watching him retrieve golf balls from the bottom of the creek to all of his hunting and fishing expeditions. Her most faithful companion was her cat Tooter who was lots of company to her for many years.
