Marion I. Pride, age 89, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 7:40 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Paris Health and Rehab Center.
A visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 31, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. in Evansville, Indiana. Pall Bearers for the service are Brian Elliott, Lilah Elliott, Alexis Elliott, Marc Vonderlage, Will Vonderlage, Sophie Vonderlage, and Brandon Snider. Pastor David Laborde will officiate.
Marion was born February 9, 1932 in Evansville, Indiana. She is the daughter of the late Roy and Ella Mae Benedict Forcum. She married Boerner Freeman Pride on April 24, 1949 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1995.
Marion was a homemaker. She was a longtime and active member of Paris Community Bible Church. She was also an avid quilter and loved to knit and needle point. Marion also enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her children: David (Tammie) Pride of Paris, Illinois, Patricia Jo White of Paris, Illinois, Bonnie Faye Boyd of Burton, Michigan, Brenda June (Lewis) Stultz of Fairmount, Illinois, Deborah Lynn (Ronald) Fox of Christiana, Tennessee; her grandchildren Randal Pope, Rhonda McCormick, Michael Boyd, Gina Bryers, Nikole Boyd, Kevin Stultz, Bryan Stultz, Brittany (Marc) Vonderlage and children, Sophie and Will Vonderlage, Alisha (Brian) Elliott and children, Alexis and Lilah Elliott, Brandon Snider, and Molly Snider; son in law Chris Guth; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Marion is preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Ella Mae Forcum, her husband Boerner Freeman Pride, and her daughter, Martha Ellen Guth.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Paris Community Bible Church.
