Marion Eugene Joseph's Obituary

Marion Eugene Joseph, age 83 of Martinsville, Illinois and formerly of Paris, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 12:50 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. Mr. Joseph was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force, was employed by Rogers Implement in Hume, Illinois as a mechanic, and was a devoted husband of 62 years. He had been a member of VFW Post 3601 and American Legion Post 211. Born April 15, 1933 in St. Marie, Illinois, he was the son of the late Charles Otis and Mary (Heady) Joseph. He married Vivian Maxine (Entrican) Joseph March 7, 1954 in Paris, Illinois. Survivors include his wife Vivian of Martinsville, Illinois, children; Tonya (Tom) Helwig of Spring City, Pennsylvania, Terry (Gary) Bemis of Paris, Illinois, Tamie (Randy) Daugherty of Paris, Illinois, Tommie (Randy) Porterfield of Carnesville, Georgia, Stephen (Lisa) Joseph of Wildwood, Illinois, Scott Joseph of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Courtney (Terry) Hardway of Martinsville, Illinois, 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two sisters Maxine Rowden of Hume, Illinois and Norma Jane Jones of Paxton, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Trudy Murphy, seven brothers, and four sisters. Following cremation, a graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Kansas. Interment of the cremains will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
