Marilyn Jean Beck age 78, of Colfax, IL formerly Paris, IL passed away at 5:03 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Aperion Care Center of Colfax. She was a beautician.

Services are 2 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Knight officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots.

Burial will be in Embarrass Cemetery near Redmon.

Marilyn was born in Villa Grove, Illinois, August 14, 1937 the daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Mae Chambers McCarty.

She married William M. Beck September 25, 1966 in Rockville, Indiana and he passed away June 13, 1985.

Marilyn was a member of The Antioch Faith Outreach Church in Paris and a graduate of the Danville Beauty School.

She is survived by her daughter: Deborah Jean Coon of Danville; her brother: Marvin McCarty of Rantoul; her grandchildren: Shauna Renee' Lucas and Cameron Ray Coon both of Danville; and her great-grandchildren: Quinton Barnett, Kendra Barnett, and Bently Ray Coon all of Danville. She was also preceded in death by her sister Delorse Fillinger.
