Marietta McHenry, age 101 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Piatt County Nursing Home in Monticello, Illinois. She was a Deputy for the Edgar County Sheriff Department and a member of First United Methodist Church. Born October 21, 1913 in Oakland, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Carl Bruce and Bess (Gilbert) Gillis. She married Lyman Wiese August 11, 1947, he passed away July 28, 1961, she then married Rex McHenry in 1985, he passed away June 3, 1997. Survivors include her children; Marty Bridwell and her husband Tom of White Heath, Illinois, Susie Magers and her husband Lenny of Naples, Florida and Libby Lutkus of Tucson, Arizona, ten grandchildren; Gabe Bridwell, Sarah (Brad) Young, Emily (Justin) Weidner, Todd Magers, Doug (Colleen) Magers, Michael (Therese) Lutkus, David (Chris) Lutkus, Nancy Larson, Carolyn (Mike) Eschenburg and Betsy Lutkus, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one grandson Adam Magers and one sister Martha Lee Gough.
Visitation for Mrs. McHenry will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.
