Margaret Lou Swinford's Obituary
Margaret Lou Swinford, age 94 of Mesa, Arizona and formerly of Paris, passed away January 17, 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Church. During WW II she worked for the Department of Defense in Washington D.C. She enjoyed sewing, taking care of her yard, and taking care of her cat Holley. Born November 25, 1921 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Attwood and Jenny (Williams) Ruckman. She married Wilbur Swinford October 31, 1948 and he passed away in July 1974. Survivors include her sons, Randy Swinford of Paris and Thomas Swinford and his wife Debbie of Sun City, Arizona, 6 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 2 sisters, Joan Tafflinger and Norma Jean Berger. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
