Margaret Ruth Spillman, age 90, of Paris, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Oddfellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, Illinois.

A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois.

Margaret was born July 6, 1931 in Paris, Illinois the daughter of the late Wesley Von and Maida York Kneisley.

She worked for the Department Of Agriculture and for the Chattel Loan Company throughout her lifetime.

Margaret was a longtime and active member of the First Assembly Church of God, where she served as the secretary for over 29 years. She was also active in her community, serving as a volunteer at Paris Community Hospital for 17 years. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed music and building miniature doll houses.

She is survived by her daughter: Teri Sue (Sam) Holewa of Des Plains, Illinois; her daughter-in-law: Gloria Spillman of Cicero, Illinois; her grandchildren: Bradley (Brittany) Spillman of Tuscola, Illinois, Adam James (Christina) Bader of Countryside, Illinois, Brian Spillman of Florida, Tiffany (John) Couch of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Stephanie Spillman of Cicero, Illinois; her great-grandchildren: Mykala, Noah, Isabel, Lindie Rose, Landon, Lyla, Adam Jr., Aria, Elizabeth, Kaylee, Kayden, and Kai.

Margaret is preceded in death by: her son Lindy Aaron Spillman; and her sister Charlene V. Ellington.
