June 5, 1933 – August 12, 2019
On Monday morning August 12, in Clayton North Carolina at the Brian Nursing Home, Margaret Marie Hoffman slipped out of her worn out 86 year old body into the glorious presence of God. A devout and faithful follower of Jesus Christ she is rejoicing today in a place where no tears, pain or suffering is permitted. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years in 2005, Jack L. Hoffman and two grandchildren. She leaves behind her children; Rev. Jack D. (Jill) Hoffman of Paris, Illinois, Cynthia "Cindy" (Gary) Mayberry of Clayton, North Carolina, Stephen "Steve" (Caryn) Hoffman of Riverview, Michigan, and James "Jim" (Risa) Hoffman of Northville, Michigan, 16 grandchildren (2 of which are deceased), 3 step grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren
A faithful Baptist congregant over 60 years ....she served the Lord in the various churches that the Lord led her to throughout her years.
Services to memorialize the life of Margaret Marie (Amos) Hoffman, daughter of Isom and Bertha (Gates) Amos, the following services will be conducted:
Wednesday August 14th, visitation will be held at Rose/Graham Funeral Home - 301 W. Main St. - in the heart of Benson, North Carolina from 6 pm. until 8 pm. In lieu of flowers in North Carolina, memorials made by made to The Highway Shepherd Ministry care of Benson Grove Baptist Church 6966 Hwy 50 North, Angier, NC 27504. Special thanks to Pastor Billy Cashwell and Benson Grove Baptist Church for their uplifting support for Marie's family.
Monday August 19th, visitation will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church located at 15197 US HWY 150, Paris, Illinois (across the street from the Super Wal-Mart) from noon until 2 pm (Central Standard Time). Celebration of life service will be at 2 pm at the church followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, located east of Paris on the Vermilion Road north of HWY 150. In lieu of flowers in Paris, memorials may be made honoring Marie to the Cornerstone Baptist Church 15197 US HWY 150, Paris, Illinois.
