Lydia Ann (Honnold) Fonner, age 92 of Chrisman, Illinois passed away at 10:20 A.M. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home with Pastor Troy Warner officiating. Interment will be private with family only.

Lydia was born on March 4, 1932 in Paris, Illinois to Paul J. and Lydia Louise (Thiel) Honnold. She married Hal Richard "Dick" Fonner on October 9, 1952. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2023.

Lydia was a registered nurse and was a longtime member of Chrisman Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting china, reading and had many other hobbies.

She is survived by her children: Charles Fonner, of Chrisman, Illinois, Catherine Rogers of Chrisman, Illinois, Paula Gleesing of Spotsylvania, Virginia; her brothers: Stewart Robert (Lila) Honnold of Paris, Illinois, James Edwin (Karen) Honnold of Charleston, Illinois; her sisters: Wilma McCann of Danville, Illinois, Pauline (H. Eugene) Craig of Bismark, Illinois, Marie (Robert) Clark of Terre Haute, Indiana, Mary Sue Randall of Terre Haute, Indiana; four grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her infant daughter, Mary Ann Fonner and two brothers.
