Lowell G. Bapp, age 77, of Paris, passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Horizon Health in Paris, Illinois.

No services are planned at this time. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Lowell was born on February 27, 1944 in Metcalf, Illinois, the son of the late Augustus and Opal Crafton Bapp. He married Kathleen Weig on April 20, 1984 in Vermilion, Illinois.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Lowell worked as a farm hand for many years.

Lowell was an active member of the Power of Prayer Community Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife: Kathleen Bapp of Paris; his children: Rachele (Neil) James of Casey, Illinois, Teresa (Brad) Holt of Brocton, Illinois; his 10 grandchildren; his 24 great-grandchildren; his 4 great-great-grandchildren; his siblings: Gloria Wolfe of Tilton, Illinois, and Helen Salmon of North Carolina.

Lowell is preceded in death by his step-son: Thomas; and several siblings.
