Lou Ellen Stege, age 84 of Paris, IL passed away at 10:35 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be at a later date at the Danville National Cemetery, Danville, IL.  Memorials may be made to The Lutheran Hour Ministries in care of Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a homemaker, and a production worker at Raytheon Corporation.

She was born August 15, 1932 in Matteson the daughter of the late Herman and Minnie Schoeling Kummelehne.

Lou Ellen married Wilbert D. Stege March 1, 1952 in Matteson and he survives.  She is also survived by her children: Kenneth W. (Marci) Stege of Wichita, KS, Gary A. (Terri) Stege of Dunnville, KY,  Kathleen S. Tuggle of Mahomet, IL; her 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Keith W. Stege, her brother Harold Kummelehne and her son-in-law William Tuggle.

Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
