Loretta Arnita Frese's Obituary
Loretta Arnita Frese, age 95 of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at her residence. She was a homemaker, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham, and Sacred Heart Altar Society. Born July 3, 1920 in Montrose, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late August W. and Maggie (Sehi) Goebel. She married Floyd Frese in 1940 in the chapel of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Frese passed away in 1977. Survivors include children; Pete (Karlene) Frese of Effingham, Bill (Linda) Frese of Teutopolis, Lucy (Dick) Kenter of Effingham, Patty (Tom) Zerrusen on Teutopolis, and Mike (Nicci Bauman) Frese of Effingham, eighteen grandchildren, forty nine great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Martha "Mert" and her husband Larry McMahon, a grandson Christopher Kenter, and three brothers; Wayne, Virgil, and Glenn Goebel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with Rev. Fr. Chris Brey officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Sacred Heart School or the charity of the donor's choice. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
