Lois V. Hand, age 92, of Paris, IL passed away 4:15 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 in Paris Healthcare Center.

She was a member of the 1 ^st Baptist Church. Lois was owner and operator of Pauline's Sportswear, and a homemaker. Lois loved to cook and enjoyed sharing her creations with others. She was a cook for Paris District 95 Schools and Lenny's on the square in downtown Paris. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Richard Benach officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Lois was born September 3, 1922 in Norris City, the daughter of the late Rev. Charles E. and Ida Ogden Hedges.

She married Arthur Allen Hand in Norris City and he passed away October 12, 2003.

Lois is survived by her children Charles Allen (Karen) Hand of Paris and Mary Ellen (Dave) Cunningham of Newark, OH; her grandchildren Bryan (Alison) Hand of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Heather (David) Collins of Denver, CO and Joshua (Katia) Lutz of San Antonio, TX and her five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother Van Hedges.
