Lloyd R. Painter, age 92 of Paris, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Paris Healthcare Center. He worked as a carpet cleaner and was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601.

Born May 4, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Lloyd R. and Diamond (Smith) Painter. He married Betty E. Stickler May 4, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois; she passed away May 12, 2007. Survivors include a daughter Sandra Creed of Chesterfield, Virginia, a daughter-in-law Cathy Painter of Hammond, Indiana, five grandchildren; Jeff Creed of Eugene, Oregon, April Painter of Hammond, Indiana, Steven Painter of Norfolk, Virginia, Debra Purks of Richmond, Virginia, and James Creed of Richmond, Virginia, several great grandchildren, two brothers, Walter Binner of Indiana and Herbert Binner of Oak Forrest, Illinois, a sister Alice Lackhouse of Oak Forrest, Illinois, a sister-in-law Ruth Feminella of Chicago, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son Lloyd J. Painter.

Graveside services for Mr. Painter will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Little Grove Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 211.
