Linda Kay Poynter, age 62, of Champaign, formerly of Paris, passed away at 1:52 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, Illinois.

A visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris; with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.

Linda was born on June 15, 1960, in Paris, Illinois the daughter of James L. and the late Patricia Ruth (Dorothy) Poynter.

She worked in customer service for many years. When she wasn't working, Linda enjoyed reading and caring for her pets.

Linda is survived by her father: James L. Poynter; her children: Charles James (Amber) Wright of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Robert James (Kaleigh Adams) Zufall of Champaign, Illinois; her grandchildren: Kolby Wright, Kaylyn Herrell; her siblings: James B. (Grace) Poynter of Paris, Mary Ann Poynter of Champaign; her niece: Alliyah Poynter; and her beloved pets: Sadie and Luna.
