Leonard Taylor age 88 of Chrisman, IL passed away at 7:05 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his home. He was a farmer, a member and trustee of Horace Baptist Church, a trustee and caretaker of Franklin Cemetery.

Services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris. Visitation is 4-7p.m., Tuesday January 17, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Horace Baptist Church.

Leonard was born October 27, 1928 in Woodbury, TN the son of the late George and Susan Mears Taylor.

He married Joan Johnson Taylor December 4, 1954 in Horace Baptist Church in Chrisman and she passed away December 8, 2009.

Leonard is survived by his daughter:  Georgia (Dwane) Mathias of Chrisman; his sister DeLoyce Bowman of Manchester, TN; his grandchildren Melissa (Aaron) Tovey of Fairmount, Amanda (Zack) Light of Frankfort, IN, Daniel Mathias in Chrisman; his great-grandchildren: Parker Tovey, Jack Tovey, Olivia Light and Samantha Light.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter Twilla Downs and his siblings Virgil Taylor and Odell Taylor.
