Leo Milton Woodyard, age 94 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 at Life's Journey Senior Living in Paris. Mr. Woodyard had been employed at the Illinois Cereal Mill in Paris. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of Horace Baptist Church. Born December 17, 1921 in Bushton, Illinois, he was the son of the late John Milton and Sarah Lou Isey (Keigley) Woodyard. He married Norma Jean (Holley) Woodyard January 8, 1944 in Oakland, Illinois, she passed away June 22, 2011. Survivors include five children; Gloria Jeanne Barlet of Danville, Illinois, Bev G. (Wayne) Parrish of Danville, Illinois, Ronald Leo (Kathy) Woodyard of Paris, Illinois, Mary Beth (Rob) Straub of Apollo Beach, Florida, and Sue Ellen (Phil) Tribby of Paris, Illinois, eight grandchildren; Holley (Joseph) Lerner of Danville, Illinois, Kevin (Jenelle) Parrish of Liberty, Illinois, Kim Parrish of Tilton, Illinois, A.J. Woodyard of Champaign, Illinois, Amanda (Brad) Bandy of Brandon, South Dakota, Jennifer Woodyard of Paris, Illinois, Amie (Nathan) Haines of Marshall, Illinois, and Jacob Furnish of Paris, Illinois, and six great grandchildren; Daniel Parrish, Reid Parrish, Avery Parrish, Sadie Parrish, Becca Bandy, and Bria Haines. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters, and five brothers. Visitation for Mr. Woodyard will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601. Memorial contributions may be made to Life's Journey Senior Living.
