Lena Mae Rhoads age 83 of Paris, IL passed away at 8:55 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Paris Health Care Center. Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with memorial services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment of the cremains will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

She was a bookkeeper at the Citizens National Bank and a member of the Oliver United Methodist Church.

Lena was born June 27, 1934 in Scottland, IL the daughter of the late Roscoe and Blanche Gore Hugg.

She married Lawrence Jr. Rhoads July 11, 1953 in Paris and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1992.

Lena was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3601 Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Paris Community Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed music, line dancing and karaoke.

Lena is survived by her children: Glen (Jacqueline Corry) Rhoads of Denver, CO and Kent (Yolanda) Rhoads of Paris; her grandchildren Chasity (Ryan) Mitchell of Rapid City, South Dakota, Roscoe Rhoads of San Diego, CA and Wesley Rhoads of Denver, CO; her great-grandchildren: Wyatt Mitchell, Marley Mitchell, Camryn Mitchell and Austin Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Hugg.
