Lelah Bernadine Alexander's Obituary
Lelah Bernadine Alexander, age 90 of Paris, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 in Paris Health Care Center. She was a homemaker. Born July 21, 1925 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo P. Brown, Sr. and the late Ruby (Jones) Brown. She married Donald Alexander January 9, 1967 and he passed away June 11, 1994. Survivors include a son Clifford Duane West of Paris, a daughter Pamela K. Godbey of Terre Haute, a brother Larry A. Brown of Paris, a sister Nancy E. Foote of Paris, fourteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Sheldon Lee West, and six siblings; Howard E. Brown, Russell A. Brown, James I. Brown, Alonzo P. Brown, Jr., Marion T. Archer, and Paul Edward Brown. Visitation for Mrs. Alexander will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.
