Larry Leon Winkler, age 71, of Ruston, LA, formerly of Paris, IL passed away July 27, 2016 in Ruston. Private family memorial  services will be Saturday October 1, 2016. There is no visitation.

Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery, Paris, IL.

Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Winkler was born April 22, 1945 in Paris, IL the son of the late Carl and Helen Ward Winkler. He was of the Baptist Faith. Larry retired from Franke in Ruston. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and Oregon Ducks fan.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Phillip Winkler.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Elizabeth Norton Winkler; his four children: Stacy (Lisa) Winkler, Stephanie (Lee) Chambers, Sonny (Angela) Axton, and Ronnie Axton; his seven grandchildren: Justin, Courtney, Dakota, Danielle, Chelsea, Ethan and Tanner; his five great-grandchildren: Lincoln, McKayla, Graham, Carter, and Bella; his two sisters: Marcia (Smoke) Burba, and Donna (John)Gerth; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends, especially Michelle Axton.
