Larry Donald Beasley, age 84 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Beasley was a Measurement Tech for Midwestern Gas.  He also had been a linotype operator at the Beacon News, was a home builder and home renovator, and was the owner/operator of Elbridge Operating Co.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and he was a life member of Stratton Masonic Lodge #408 AF & AM since 1955.

Born February 5, 1936 in Elbridge, Illinois, he was the son of the late Carrol D. and Hallie I. (Cockcroft) Beasley. He married Gwendolyn Joan Martin December 23, 1956 at the New Providence Church.  Survivors include his wife Joan Beasley of Paris, three children; Lisa (Dan) Ashley of Nashville, Tennessee, Mike (Joy) Beasley of Paris, and Elaine Butler of Polk City, Florida, one brother Gary (Anna) Beasley of Paris, four grandchildren; Keith and Bret Ashley, Macala Beasley, and Christopher Winschief, and three great grandchildren; Emma Grace, Ella Rosa, and Kohen Lee.

Visitation for Mr. Beasley will be held from Noon until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Masonic services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home by Stratton Masonic Lodge #408 AF & AM.  The funeral service will follow the Masonic service.  Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 211.  Private burial will be at a later date in New Providence Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Stratton Masonic Lodge #408.  For further information and online condolences, please visit www.stewartandcarrollfuneralhome.com .
