Keith Ritter, age 80 of Arizona City, Arizona and formerly of Paris, Illinois passed away suddenly April 28, 2015 at his home at Quail Run RV Park, Arizona City, where he lived and also helped take care of for over 20 years. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, Paris, Illinois. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Stewart and Carroll, followed by Military Honors. Cremation will follow. Mr. Ritter was born May 6, 1934 in Lafayette, Indiana to Louis I. Ritter and Alberta (Coffman) Ritter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law and a brother, Donnie Ritter. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Elaine (Caskey) Ritter of Arizona City, Arizona, two sons, James (Linda) Ritter of Moss Beach, California and Daniel G. Ritter of Lafayette, Indiana, three daughters; Sharon (Gerald) Wilcox of Colfax, Indiana, Beth (John) Corbin of Lafayette, Indiana, and Lori (Scott) Higginbotham of Paris, Illinois, two brothers, David (Madonna) Ritter of Brookston, Indiana and Larry (Patricia) Ritter of Acworth, Georgia. He was also blessed with twelve grandchildren; Kelly and Jessica Ritter of California, Brandon, Jarrod (Camille), Adam, and Kyle Wilcox of Colfax, Steven, Pablo, and Katrina Chavez of Lafayette, and Zachery, Kahrissa, and Parker Higginbotham of Paris, and six great-grandchildren. Keith served in the Air Force for Three years and flew on a Boeing KC 97 as Crew Chief, and was a Chief Master Sergeant. He later, by the help of his mother, was hired on at Eli Lilly and Company in Lafayette, Indiana, also working for Eli Lilly in Puerto Rico. He was then transferred to Clinton, Indiana where he worked until he retired after a total of 38 years. He also helped his father-in-law, Hugh Caskey farm until Hugh's retirement. He had his pilot's license and flew out of Stewart Airport. Keith enjoyed working in his workshop after work and was a very talented carpenter. He bowled on numerous bowling leagues, including the Elks League and enjoyed playing golf. He was member of the Paris, Illinois Elks Club and American Legion Post 211 in Paris, and the Moose Lodge of Arizona City. Keith was a man who wore many hats and was a hardworking man. He was a loving father and grandfather and he be deeply missed. May he rest in peace. Memorial contributions may be made to the Moose Lodge in Arizona City, Arizona.
