Kathleen "Kathy" Blount, age 88, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at her home.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial in Edgar Cemetery.

Kathy was born on December 24, 1933, the daughter of the late Roy O. and Annis E. (Cushman) Mullins.

She married Donald L. Blount in Paris in 1967. He preceded her in death.

Kathy worked for U.O. Colson's, State of Illinois (Department of Public Aid), and State of Georgia (Department of Army). She was a longtime and active member at New Beginnings Church, formerly Trinity United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Kathy was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed writing poetry.

She is survived by her daughter: Lisa Blount of Effingham, Illinois; her granddaughters: Chrystal (Brandon) Love of Charlotte, NC, Amanda Mullis of Charlotte, NC; her great-grandchildren: Tristan Love, Dade Love, Jude Love, Waylon Love, Dixie Mullis; her sister: Deanna (Bill) Taylor of Brownsburg, IN; several nieces and nephews; several cousins; and her caretakers: Donny and Carol Keltz.

Kathy is preceded in death by her son: Stephen R. Blount; and her siblings: Thomas Mullins, Betty Stevens, and Ruby Keltz.

Memorial may be made to New Beginnings Church in Paris, or Donor's Choice.
