Julia Fern Moore, age 99, of Paris, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Paris Healthcare Center in Paris, Illinois.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Julia was born December 9, 1921 in Paris, Illinois the daughter of the late Redmon Earl "Joe" and Esther Evelyn Hamm Keys. She married James A. Moore on March 28, 1959 in Paris, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2005.

She was a bookkeeper, quilter and homemaker. Julie was also involved with the American Legion Auxiliary; she was a volunteer for Peace Meal for 19 years, and a volunteer at C.P. Sutton Senior Center for many years.

Julia is survived by her step-children: Bonnie (Ed) Whittemore of Brownsville, Texas, James, M. "Rod" Moore of Brownsville, Texas, her brother: Alvin Keys of Paris, Illinois, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her stillborn daughters: Cynthia Ann Tucker, Brenda Keys Tucker; her siblings: Burl Keys, Wayne Keys, Donald Keys, Eugene Keys, Janet Faye Keys; and her grandson: Tony Whittemore.
