Judy B Cash, age 82, a lifelong resident of Paris, Illinois, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones at 9:19 pm, October 26th, 2025 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute IN. She was employed at TRW in Marshall, IL in the Finance Department. While employed there she received several awards including Exceptional Effort awards and Teamwork award. She was also employed in earlier years at Wolfe's Auto Supply (Linkon Auto Parts), Frey Wholesale, General Telephone, and J.C.Penney. She was a member of Lake Ridge Church but most recently worshiped at Bell Ridge Christian Church.
She was born December 31, 1942 in Paris, Il the eldest daughter of the late Logan Burba and Mary Wheeler Burba. She attended one room county schools throughout her elementary education and graduated from Paris High School in 1960. She was a member of 4-H and showed black Angus cattle as well as sewing and baking. She married her highschool sweetheart, Fenton Eugene Cash on April 28, 1962 and he survives.
Also surviving are her children: Teresa Keys (Ray Beukema) and Rick Cash (Polly Norman), five grandchildren: Brandon (Amber) Keys, Stevie (Dusty) Drake, Holly (Kaleb) Haddix, Logan Cash and Erica (Josh) Tryon. She has 11 great-grandchildren: Macy and Payton Keys, Gracie Willett, Gracie Cash, Bud and River Haddix, Jed, Dax and Von Drake, Chloe Steward and Jase Tryon. Other survivors include sister: Jean Ann (Kenny) Keefer, brother: Mark (Marcia) Burba and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her son David Cash, her parents, Logan & Mary Burba, two sisters and a brother.
She was passionate in genealogy and was a member of the Edgar County, Wabash Valley and LaRue County Kentucky Genealogical Societies. She and Fenton were instrumental in starting the Holiday in the Park and volunteered in the community in many other ways including Food for Kids Backpack Program and Rescue Me Clifford.
She enjoyed many travels with her husband including a trip alongside Fenton on her own motorcycle to Niagra Falls and the trip of a lifetime to Alaska. She did many wonderful things in her life, but her proudest accomplishment was her family. She taught us the meaning of love, strength and hardwork - lessons we'll carry with us forever. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the funeral home with Bro. Kurt Speece officiating. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be made to Food for Kids Backpack Program in Edgar County or Edgar County Genealogical Society.
