Joshua Adam Goodwin, age 44, of Freelandville, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Josh was born on December 13, 1978 in Paris, Illinois to Gregory James and Sheryl D. (Garver) Goodwin. He met Lori Neal as his first love, they married. He then met Jamie Pratt, they married on June 22, 2002 in Elwood, Indiana. In December of 2002, they moved back to Paris and had two children: Hannah Grace, born on July 14, 2004 and Emily Elizabeth born on December 9, 2007. They divorced on September 24, 2012. He then met Bridget Leigh Moore. They wedded on October 23, 2013 in Paris, Illinois.
Josh was currently a machinist at Toyota and previously at GE Aviation. He enjoyed archery and archery competitions.
He is survived by his wife: Bridget Leigh Goodwin of Freelandville, Indiana; his children: Hannah Grace Goodwin of Anderson, Indiana, Emily Elizabeth Goodwin of Anderson, Indiana; his father: Gregory James Goodwin; his siblings: Bryant Michael (Brittany) Goodwin of Paris, Illinois, Amy Elizabeth (Jon) Simpson of Paris, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Josh is preceded in death by his mother, Sheryl D. Goodwin.
Josh was baptized at St. Mary's Church in Paris and went to school at the schoolhouse until 4th grade, where he then went to Mayo Middle School and graduated at Paris High School. He played baseball, football, and basketball throughout high school and passed that onto his sister. She went onto play softball, soccer, cheerleading, and participated in some beauty pageants from ages 2 to 6 years old.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
