Joshua B. Gent, age 62 of Paris, Illinois passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Community Bible Church in Paris, Illinois.

Josh was born on January 5, 1962 in Paris, Illinois to Laurence "Larry" and Maris (Ross) Gent.

He was a dialysis nurse for over 20 years. Josh loved football and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed reading, being outdoors, swimming and playing classic rock music loudly.

He is survived by his children: Kayla (Wade) Petty of Paris, Illinois, Brianne (Ethan) Cochran of Paris, Illinois; his life partner: Jannie Gent of Paris, Illinois; his mother: Maris Gent of Paris, Illinois;  his brothers: Ross Gent of Charleston, Illinois, Mike Gent of Jacksonville, Illinois, and Jacob Gent of Everett, Washington.

Josh is preceded in death by his father, Larry Gent and his grandson, Wyatt Petty.
