Joseph R. Ricketts, age 60, of Charleston, Illinois passed away at 10:49 P.M. on Monday, July 25, 2022 in his residence.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Joseph was born on December 13, 1961 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He is the son of James Richard (Jerri Ann) Ricketts and Carolyn I. Wieland.

Joseph did bodywork and automotive repairs. He was a longtime and active member at St. Mary's Church. He was also a member of the Edgar County Sportsman's Club.

He is survived by his parents: James Richard (Jerri Ann) Ricketts and Carolyn I. Wieland; a special loved one: Samantha Jo Reed; his children: Zachariah Ricketts of Paris, Illinois; his step children: Dustin Kennedy, Chris Kennedy, Aaron Ingrum, all of Paris, Illinois; his siblings: Scott Ricketts of Paris, Illinois, Jamie (David) Bittinger of Decatur, Alabama; his step siblings: John (Sadie) Buchanan of Mobile, Alabama, Barbara Ann (Miguel) Cannon – Morales of Moriarty, New Mexico, Bill (Mary) Wieland of Orlando, Florida, Andy (Tina) Wieland of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren: Ariah Skye Ricketts and Zeke Lucas Ricketts; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Aloysius Church or St. Mary's Church.
