John David Tinsman, age 60, of Paris, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday August 21, 2021 in his residence.

No services are scheduled at this time. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.

John was born on January 15, 1961 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of the late Donald Leon and Katherine Malone Tinsman.

He was a well known hairstylist, who owned Eclipse Hair Design in Terre Haute, Indiana. John enjoyed traveling the US and Mexico, volunteering to help those who are less fortunate, the music of Prince, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson, and a good steak dinner. But most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved getting together with his siblings and their children for the holidays and birthdays to make memories.

John is survived by his siblings: Donna Zorn (Sam Mullen) of Paris, Brenda (Tim) McQueen of Marshall, Illinois, Mark (Jeanette) Tinsman, of Paris, Richard (Kelly) Tinsman of Paris, Brandy (John) Leo of Paris; his nieces and nephews: Christa Hamilton of Charleston, Illinois, Bruce Zorn Jr. of Paris, Chris Murphy of Brazil, Indiana, Brianna Drake of Shelbyville, Illinois, Brittany Ashenfelter of Zionsville, Indiana, Eric Tinsman of Paris, Macy Young of Bargersville, Indiana, and Ella Young of Paris.
