John Stephen Guymon, age 68 of rural Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Paris Health Care Center in Paris. Mr. Guymon was a farmer and a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of Success Christian Church and American Legion Post 211.

Born May 16, 1950 in Paris, he was the son of the late John Howard and Mary Louise (Everly) Guymon. Survivors include one sister Julia Kelsheimer and her husband Dennis of Paris, Illinois, one brother James Patrick Guymon and his wife Kim of West Terre Haute, Indiana, and his nieces and nephews; Alison Williams, James Kelsheimer, Christopher Guymon, and Hallie Guymon.

Visitation for Mr. Guymon will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Guymon Cemetery.  Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 211.  Memorial contributions may be made to ECCF, Inc.
