John Robert "Bob" Brimner, age 76 of Paris, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care Center in Paris. He was a farmer, was on the Grandview Telephone Board, was a member of N.F.O., and participated in the Tractor Drive to Washington. Born October 9, 1939 in Grandview Twp., Edgar County, Illinois, he was the son of the late Harold and Louise (Gill) Brimner. He married Donna (Patterson) Brimner June 30, 1985 in Dudley, Illinois, she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Timothy Robert Brimner of Tuscola, Illinois and Thad Allen Brimner of Kansas, Illinois, two step-sons, Terry Pollitt of Danville and Duane Pollitt of Danville, three grandchildren; Hannah, Kayla, and Selah Brimner, all of Kansas, and three step-grandchildren; Terry, Jade, and Madison Pollitt, all of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Todd Harold Brimner. Visitation for Mr. Brimner will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
