Joe Richard Roberts's Obituary
Joe Richard Roberts, age 75 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:13 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at his residence. Joe was an avid Cubs fan. He was a maintenance supervisor and also was a clerk for Art Reese Lumber Company. He was a United States Army veteran. Born February 7, 1941 in Paris, Illinois, he was the son of the late Guy and Della (Brown) Roberts. He was married to Charlotte (Liffick) Roberts October 10, 1975 in Otterbein United Methodist Church in Paris. Survivors include his wife Charlotte, a daughter Sharon Roberts Piper and her husband Clark of Paris, Illinois, a son Patrick Roberts and his wife Amanda of Paris, Illinois, a step-son Richard Spencer and his wife Cindy of Paris, Illinois, a step-daughter Dina Spencer Gass and her husband Michael of Gays, Illinois, two brothers George Roberts of California and Daniel Roberts of Paris, Illinois, eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Roberts, and a sister Sharon Roberts Martin. Graveside services for Mr. Roberts will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Edgar Cemetery, friends are welcome to attend. There will be no visitation. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
