Joan K. Miller Zeigler's Obituary
Joan K. Miller Zeigler, age 88 of Paris, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care Center in Paris. She was a homemaker. She was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church and attended Grace Lutheran Church. Born August 8, 1927 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Rollie and Mary (Hurley) Terrell. She married Dwight F. Miller September 26, 1944 in Springfield, Illinois, he passed away September 18, 1986. Survivors include her daughter Martha Alice (Miller) Alwardt and her husband Fredric of Paris, two granddaughters, Melinda (Alwardt) Harrison and her husband Wade of Birmingham, Alabama and Lisa "Tedi" (Alwardt) Edwards and her husband Donovan of Oswego, Illinois, six great grandchildren; Wyatt Harrison, Graham Harrison, Gage Edwards, and triplets; Tate, Cody, and Sidney Edwards, and a sister-in-law Mildred Terrell of Paris. She was preceded in death by a brother Rollie Eugene Terrell and a sister Carolyn Wright. Funeral services for Joan will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with visitation from Noon to service time Wednesday. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Child Development Center Endowment.
