Jimmie Robert Neal's Obituary
Jimmie Robert Neal, age 88 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Paris Health Care Center, Paris, Illinois. Mr. Neal was owner and President of Neal Machinery and Erectors, Inc., was a member of Horace Baptist Church, and was a member of Paris Masonic Lodge 268 AF & AM. Born February 18, 1928 in Ross Township, Vermilion County, Illinois, he was the son of the late Orville Dennis and Nellie Lee (Butler) Neal. He married Betty Jean (Evard) Neal March 23, 1946, she passed away March 13, 2004. He married Bonnie (Good) Brown Neal November 1, 2004 and she survives. Other survivors include a son Larry Robert (Peggy) Neal of Paris, Illinois; step-children: Judy (Joe) Thagard of Stuart, Florida, Timothy P. (Janie) Brown of Paris, Illinois, Becky L. (Rusty) Krabel of Chrisman, Illinois, and Barbara (Brad) Prunkard of Sidell, Illinois; grandchildren: Jeremy Robert (Elizabeth) Neal of Chrisman, Illinois, Lori Ann (Steve) Craig of Terre Haute, Indiana, Kimberly Dawn (Dallas) Coats of Paris, Illinois, and Christopher Michael (Kara) Neal of Temple, Texas; great grandchildren: Jonathan, Amos, Rachel, and Matthew Neal, Olivia and Samuel Coats, and Roman Craig; step-grandchildren: Nick (Laura) Krabel of Georgetown, Illinois, Toby Krabel of Chrisman, Illinois, Lyndsey (Derrick) Norman of Tennessee, Hannah (Justin) Merritt of Sidell, Illinois, and Kimberly (David) Prunkard of Sidell, Illinois, Travis (Shanda) Brown of Solsberry, Indiana; step-great grandchildren: Jolee and Bristol Brown and Lauren Norman; and a brother Lester Allen Neal of Seymour, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his first wife, a son Jimmie Allen Neal, a sister Myrtle Ann Brown, and two brothers Hubert Allen Neal and Dennis Lee Neal. Visitation for Mr. Neal will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mr. Neal's name may be made to ECCF, Inc. DO IT Fund or the Alzheimers Support Group.
