Jerome Joseph Waller's Obituary

Jerome Joseph Waller, age 72 of Brocton, Illinois, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a farmer, a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hume, Illinois, Life member and treasurer of Knights of Columbus Tri Parish Council 10199, a member of Champaign County Farm Bureau, and was Commissioner of Shiloh Drainage District #7. He truly enjoyed attending land auctions and farm and machinery sales. He was a 4-H leader for over 10 years. Born March 5, 1945 in Paris, Illinois, he was the son of the late Leo Jarome and Anna Mary (Gillivary) Waller. He married Glenda J. (Martinie) Waller August 14, 1982 at St. Thomas Church in Philo, Illinois and she survives. Also surviving is a brother L. Michael Waller of Danville, Illinois. Visitation for Mr. Waller will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris with Rev. Fr. Ronald Hilt and Rev. Fr. Aloysius Okey Ndeanaefo as co-celebrants. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Paris. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edgar County 4-H Association.
