Jeremy Kayne
Mcdaniel
April 9, 1974 – January 26, 2020
Jeremy Kayne McDaniel, formerly of Charleston, IL and Boise, ID, passed away on January 26th in Paris, IL.
He leaves behind his parents, Tim McDaniel (Murtaugh, ID) and Mary Herrington-Perry (Paris, IL) and step-parents Keith Perry and Shelly McDaniel; his sister Justinn McDaniel (Chicago, IL); his children, Imani and Tahj McDaniel (Champaign, IL); his grandmother Edna (Sammy) McDaniel (Paris, IL); many step-siblings, cousins, and friends; and his fat and faithful dog, J.D.
We will sorely miss Jeremy's kind and generous heart, his bright but often impish smile, and his quirky sense of humor.
Jeremy attempted several professions during his life-- super hero, cowboy, first baseman, linebacker, hip hop artist, car salesman, even watermelon demolition expert. But his true avocation was poetry. With Michael Franti, we know that wherever Jeremy roams, his soul "is a poem written on the back of God's hand."
While no public services will be held, those who wish to honor Jeremy's memory may make a donation to the Edgar County Animal Shelter in Paris, IL. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Please visit www.stewartandcarrollfuneralhome.com for online condolences.
