James Sudduth, age 73, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 2:13 P.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Paris Health Care Center.

Military Honors will be at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation will follow at the funeral home until 6:00 P.M. with a memorial service following visitation.

James was born on April 11, 1949. He is the son of the late Robert A. and Mary L. (Vice) Sudduth. He married Julia Crum on September 29, 1973 and she survives.

James served his country as a member in the United States Navy, and he was a crossing guard. He also enjoyed fishing, plastic canvas art, and loved drinking coffee.

He is survived by his wife, his children: James Sudduth Jr. of Paris, Illinois, Jennifer Sudduth of Paris, Illinois; his adopted son, Kenneth L. Yates Jr; his brothers: Robert A. Sudduth Jr. of Louisiana, Ray Grant (Edith) Sudduth of Sparks, Nevada; his three grandchildren: Mitchell L. Gosnell Jr., Tiffany Elizabeth Gosnell, and Noah J. Bradley.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.
